Cody Toppert (193-G/F-83, agency: Interperformances, college: Cornell) arrived today to play for Barreirense. With an incredible ability to shoot the basketball, his outlook gives him as an extremely intelligent and hard nosed player that shows no fear on the court with toughness and nose for the ball that gave him the ability to create for his teammates and himself.

Cody is an experienced basketball player at the pro level. Currently he is looking for a new place to suit up and hit three's! Most recently he has played with Taranaki Mountain Airs of the New Zealand NBL. Prior to heading to the South Pacific Cody was a member of the NBA D-League Champion Albuquerque Thunderbirds. His first experience with pro basketball came in the Southern California Summer Pro League held each July in the Los Angeles area.

What Cody brings to a team is an incredible ability to shoot the basketball, he is a mid-range jump shooter that shot at least 34% from 3 point land in each of his college seasons at Cornell. He's a nose to the grindstone, hard working player that hunts down the loose ball that other guards wouldn't get. A left handed shot that requires a fleet footed defender to stop him on drives to the hoop. A match up nightmare. Strong enough to play down low when it's available but with range to draw his defender out to the arc.
