As a player Head Coach Cathy Swezey is a former US Women's National Team member, was captain of the Trenton State women's lacrosse team and she was also an NCAA Div III National Champion three times. As a coach she has been recognized by Inside Lacrosse Magazine as National Coach of the Year (2002), was American Lacrosse Conference Coach of the Year (2002) and reached the 2004 NCAA Final Four. This past year the Commodores reached #9 on the polls, knocked off #6 Notre Dame and #13 Johns Hopkins while two players were named second team All-Americans (Sasha Cielak and Margie Curran). An additional 5 players were named to the All-Conference teams (2 first team, 3 second team).
