The Highlights:
This offensive and defensive all star while in high school, made the jump to the ACC as a walk on player and earned himself a scholarship through hard work and determination. Carlton has the physical attributes that make his off season program worth the blood, sweat and tears, it earned him the Super Iron Hokie as a red shirt sophomore. Has the heart and desire to earn his spot on any field, in any league. Was a team captain and won the starting full back spot coming out of spring camp his senior season. Lead blocker for Branden Ore during his thousand yard seasons in 2006 and 2007. Made an impact on special teams as well, including a 24 yard kickoff return.
His final year at Tunstall High School (where he won two district titles) Carlton ran for 1250 yards, 14 touchdowns and made 141 tackles with 5 sacks.
Carlton was the first fullback selected by Virginia in the inaugural United National Gridiron League draft.
Carlton returned to Virginia Tech to complete his Masters and also serve as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Hokies.
